San Miguel, El Salvador
Olain (aka Armida) is a House, Minimal & Techno producer from El Salvador. Born in 1989, he has always loved music. His first encounter with Electronic & Dance was in 2000, listening to Paul van Dyk & Paul Oakenfold. Even then his musical taste was slightly different. So in 2004 after listening to a lot of metal music he decides to expand his musical horizons. He listens again to that weird music he discovered some years ago, and he simply falls in love. In 2007 he gives his first step into music production. Focusing on Trance music mainly, he decides to reexplore his posibilities and discovers his capacity to create good House music. In 2008 he finally discovers Minimal and he decides to experiment with it. The results?: his unique style of production, combining elements of House with Minimal Techno, and the experimentation with sounds from other genres (and even from no genre). Armida music has a basic structure with mainly House beats, but he widens the parameters of the thinkable.
