Following the death of Steely Dan's Walter Becker, we're taking the opportunity to explore some of Dan's jazzier legacies. This month's mix includes takes on Steely Dan/Donald Fagen tracks from Nautilus, the Juju Orchestra, Peter Jones and the Tommy Smith Youth Jazz Orchestra, as well as vintage rap from De La Soul based on a sample from 'Peg'. There is also a tribute from German outfit Soul Session and two track from Steely Dan themselves, along with key new music from the Blue Note All Stars and Kamasi Washington and some other great grooving tunes which mix nicely. Enjoy and comment please!
Tracklist
