I was born Martin Gross in Timmins, Ontario, Canada in 1969. I grew up in Hamilton, and left there to live in Taiwan in the summer of 1996. I've lived here ever since, teaching English as a second language. I created the stage name 'Mawr Gorshin' in the early 2010s. In my spare time, apart from having written music, I also write prose (horror fiction), occasional poetry, and blog posts on various topics (film and literary analyses, Marxism, psychoanalysis, and narcissistic abuse) on my blog, 'Infinite Ocean.'
