Mr. McNeill is cut from the cloth of the oldschool. Spending his time in record stores, seeking out opportunities to learn from some of his biggest influences all across the United States, McNeill has honed his craft over the course of many years. Inspired by heroes from DJ Premier and Stretch Armstrong to names like Cox, Mills, May and Saunderson, McNeill's breadth of sound reads like a veritable guide to beat driven music. His styles can only be described as variable, ranging from deep house and techno to funky breaks and hip hop, McNeill is the most at home in a dark club behind the 1s and 2s. When asked about his style, McNeill says: "When I play I like to have fun and I aim to express that in the music I play. I want everyone on the dance floor to have a great time. So I like to keep my sets upbeat, exciting and loose but above all very danceable". In the past two years Mr. McNeill has held down residencies at The Goodlife and Descent at the W.
