Born and raised in the Chicagoland area, Mattheo’s musical approach isn’t one you might typically expect from someone so deeply immersed in its rich electronic heritage.

Whilst still drawing inspiration from his Chicago roots, Mattheo amalgamates this with a nostalgic nod to the early 90’s rave scene combining articulate breakbeats and layered textures with his own unique modern-day studio techniques.

His productions sit comfortably alongside the likes of Bicep, Dusky and Four Tet and having already played key shows with both Joris Voorn and Gui Boratto it’s clear Mattheo is quickly becoming a new name to watch.
