I am an avid collector of many things, not just mineral specimens. I also collect art, books, antique furniture, antique wind-up phonographs and records, old and antique photographs, all kinds of ephemera, mining related items, old or antique cremation urns, funerary items and art, antique or very old lighting fixtures (lots of table lamps), and a few other types of things. Having said this, I am not really a materialistic person.

I have a strong, if somewhat dark, sense of humor. I am intelligent enough to keep learning new things on a constant basis. I am empathetic, trustworthy, flexible on most matters, generous and giving of my time, compassionate, and friendly; but, I can be a little eccentric, reserved, too polite, and am impatient with ignorance from whatever source!

I love beauty in this world, one of the reasons I love minerals, art and music. I also appreciate personal charm and beauty in people.
