Inspired by his mom’s taste for jazz, funk, soul and disco the young MCastaway caught the bug for collecting records and mixing them in his early teens, soon to be playing underground parties and moving through the ranks of Athens nightlife and Greek Island club scene.

Equally absorbed in technique, the technical and developing his distinctive musical taste and output… From learning the hip hop style of beat juggling to the ‘sister’ new york taste for blends in deep house, disco, soul and funk through immersing himself into sound system culture, revamping mixers and fine tuning club speakers set-up’s to releases on the legendary King Street and Nitegrooves labels, MCastaway continues to develop his passion for all that surrounds his love in music.
