BIOGRAPHY :
Mario Mangiarano AKA THE MARIO, Florence based DJ, gets his first turntables at 14, while participating to a local radio show on pirate radio.
Growing up, Funk and Disco influenced him and laid the foundation for a career in House Music.
His perfectionism with mixing led THE MARIO to stand out and achieve large popularity, also gaining the nickname of “Doctor DJ”. Now a fully skilled DJ, produ- cer and MC, THE MARIO will go on to release 200 recor- dings, many of them with long time friend and production partner Carlo Conti, on Zeus Records.
“Living in the Sky” sold 500.000 copies and landed THE MARIO a gold record in 1985, reaching #1 in more than 20 European countries’ dance charts. Following this great success, THE MARIO starts touring Italy and abroad, performing in the most sought after venues.
