Avid record collector/ train spotter and DJ since 1991-ish, grew up on all types of house & progressive house during the early-mid 1990's, spent almost every weekend in sweaty clubs up & down the UK and all my cash on vinyl.
I'm on a mission to digitally record my record collection by compiling loads of DJ sets. Everything I record is mixed on two Technics 1210's via Serato scratch live. No other computer trickery is allowed.
I try to keep my sets specific to a particular year of record release (1990 - 1996, my halcyon years)and roughly the same genre. I call my sets 'classics' because that's what they are to me, but may not be to everyone else. If you are looking for a DJ who knows the big tunes but doesn't always play them, who loves an undiscovered gem, a B side or a rare remix and someone who cares about the art of putting a proper DJ set together (with peaks & troughs) then we should get along just fine.
Remember, it used to be all about the music!
