Marcos Padilla was born on March 26, 1965 in Newark New Jersey. At the age of 6 his parents move to Puerto Rico were he went to school. At the age of 14 he developed a passion for dance music and records. Being influenced by movies like Saturday Night Fever, Thank God is Friday, Breakin, Beat Street just to mention a few. His passion for music really became big when he came across a record called A Night at Studio 54, he always wondered how a record was made with continuous dance music that had no interruption. He started playing with records and turntables learning to beat-match at a time when there were no turntables with pitch control. He made his first mixed tapes using pause and record with cassette tapes, by 1981 when he was 16 he was very popular in the town of Manati, Puerto Rico when he was followed by many during the Hip Hop & Freestyle era.
