BIO: Marcia Calmon was born in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), and she's a singer, songwriter and graduated in Journalism. Her father, Waldir Calmon, was a very popular pianist in Brazil in the 50's and 60's and her mother is also a singer. Marcia is still married to the conductor and multi-instrumentalist Tranka Oliveira and has an intimate relationship with music since childhood. She plays a little bit of piano and guitar and took classical and popular singing lessons in Brazil and France. Marcia began her career by singing with big bands and today she has her own solo career, but she still do back-vocals on recordings and shows.
