DJ Maata (Матија Ракић) began his musical journey in 2002 when he first experienced electronic music culture and music such as Techno, Psy and Goa Trance. He purchased his first set of turntables just 3 years later and played mostly Techno records at the start of his career as they were more accessible and less expensive then Goa trance records.
It didn't take long for Maata to get noticed and he has played at various parties and events throughout Serbia, also organizing some of his own events. He doesn't limit himself or his music capabilities in electronic music and has played anything from deep/funky/dark/hard and minimal techno to ambiental/progressive/psychedelic/goa and dark Trance.
