Steady Riddim is a Mexican DJ, producer and live dub artist travelling between cumbia bass, dub, bass music, drum & bass, global beats and sounds from the underground.
This Mixcloud is an ongoing archive of the journey: recorded radio shows, live sessions, sound system sets, club nights, home sessions and mixes made along the road, from Mexico and Central America to Europe and wherever the next sound takes me.
Expect dark and futuristic cumbia, cumbias rebajadas, heavy bass, dub pressure, steppers, jungle, D&B, tropical rhythms and unexpected connections between Latin sounds and underground bass culture.
Some mixes are DJ selections, others feature my own productions and live dub sessions as Steady Riddim / The Outsidub — built from the idea of taking the sound of the barrio into different rooms, radios, streets and sound systems around the world.
