Lloyd Hawkins A.K.A. Jeff Hawkshead
Jeff has always had a thing for music. His grandmother taught him the organ and piano at the age of two. “She had played all her life, even in big churches.” Jeff says. At the age of five, the album Thriller had come out. Already having a record player, he added it to his collection. I was about eight or nine when the License to Ill album came out, I had no idea what I was listening to but I liked it a lot ". Jeff stated. By age ten he was ripping apart keyboards and radios to hook them up and play tunes. By the age of eleven or twelve Jeff picked up a trumpet and drumsticks. He was playing in the high school band by age 12.
It was 97’ or 98’ when he first experienced anything about techno and the rave scene, when a friend had taken him to Club @ Firestone in Orlando. After that night he was hooked on anything and everything that had to do with the underground house music scene. Another buddy of his had purchased some old belt driven tables.
