Cape Town, South Africa

My education in house music began on the sweaty wooden dancefloors of the '90s club scene in Cape Town, South Africa, and naturally evolving from there to the life-changing outdoor festival scene.

I bought my first controller at the tender age 44 while living in Hanoi. I had no idea how to use it. Google was my friend, and three months later I got my first live gig opening for Dan Buri in The Basement (Hanoi) in October 2017. I then opened the floor at the Mystery Mountain Festival that same month, and then at Quest, the biggest outdoor party in SE Asia at the time, a month after that. I spent the next two years doing more of the same, four or five nights a week, at some well-loved Hanoi clubs and bars, including Camelia Lounge, Sidewalk, Birdcage and Dockers and various events for Gingerworx.

SA gigs have included Easter Vortex, many Summer Camps, Earthdance and lots of private (shh!) parties. Genre-schmenre. If it sounds like freedom, joy and FUN, then it's my genre.
