Hailing from Guinea, and raised in Ivory Coast, here I am based in Montreal for the last 20 years.
I grew up in a family where music was omnipresent and basically essential.
There was rarely a moment in my home when music wasn’t playing on the radio, or a live performance or video clip wasn’t broadcast on the television.
As a result, my curiosity to know more about what I heard or saw, and to find more like it, meant that I spent my youth making playlists and mixtapes…on cassette no less!
A music lover (ie fanatic!), collector and selector, music is my passion.
And I see this art form as a tool for my own activism, sharing messages that illustrate my convictions and that can allow whoever is listening to understand society from another perspective.
As a deejay/selector and promoter, I’ve worked at a variety of events (Semaine de la mode, vernissages, weddings, and cocktail events).
