Starting out at age 6, Kurt established his love for drums and percussion in his father's worship band. Born and raised in Cape Town from 1992-2003, post-apartheid South Africa had an explosion of music from sources all over the world.
Growing up in a Gospel household proved difficult however to listen to 'secular' music. Kurt found himself constantly having to hide his love for Hip-Hop and Rap.
His father was a prominent worship leader but also loved the music that derived out of Motown and America. Stevie Wonder, Teddy Pendergrass among many others were the staple of Saturday car-wash scenarios.
In 2003 the family emigrated to New Zealand where Kurt first discovered his love for computer-generated music production. In late 2007, Kurt first experimented with putting together beats on Fruity Loops 3.
In 2018 he graduated with a Bachelor In Audio Production and is currently the founder and CEO of Molo Records.
