Kid Blast aka James Wilson aka Ian Williams, a reclusive guy who seems to have more aliases than MI5. With a history stretching from the late 80s, he has been spinning records now for 22 years under a variety of names (“I change my name each time I start playing a new style of music, don’t ask me why!”), and has played at pretty much all of the venues that kickstarted the Northern rave scene, before taking a break in the late 90s, re-discovering funk and old school hip hop, and reinventing himself as a block party dj extraordinaire, along the way playing alongside the likes of A Skillz, Prodigy, Krafty Kuts, and Rob Da Bank, and establishing himself as a Funkademia resident since 2009 at Manchester's longest running club night of 16 years.
