Thought I was going to follow Jacques Yves Cousteau's lead into the sea when I was young... maybe even build undersea cities; Always loved music though and that's what led me to being a "progressive" club dj starting in the mid-1970s. I believed I had to master the technology needed to make new nightclubs into tools where I could successfully turn people on to radically different, unfamiliar musical styles. Doing so enabled me to choose from seemingly worthwhile possibilities for making a difference among upcoming venues. I did so opening one or two each year in different major cities through the 1990s. Did lights for a few early-rave-era concert tours then my last club gig in San Francisco at Ten15 for most of the mid 90s. By 2000 I returned to my home in Austin. Now I herd cats and occasionally give a dj lesson or consult on a club system. Got my health sorted out and am now awaiting the right partner to help immortalize some of my memories.
