Keone has been making a name for himself and has been declared “One of the best underrated Breakbeat DJ’s in the Northwest” since becoming a Portland resident in 2007.
His musical interest began early in life exploring his parent’s record collection. Inspired by Jimi Hendrix, he taught himself to play guitar and drums when he was 12 years old. His life would be forever changed when he attended his first desert rave and heard the Electroliners track “Loose Caboose”, which he credits for starting his love of funky break beats while cutting his teeth in the early Utah rave scene.
With over a decade’s experience behind the decks, his sound showcases the best of old and new school breaks with elements of electro, progressive and tech funk.
His impeccable track selection is the result countless hours spent crate digging for records and mixing all genres and styles, mixing technique with turntablist tactics.
