Biography:
I'm Karl, a forty-something aged DJ, originally form Northern Ireland, but now settled in sunny Brighton. I'm into most types of music, but I mostly play vocal house, tech and funk these days.
In my former years I would spend most weekends at the legendary Circus Circus all nighters, inspired by the like of Mark "Jacko" Jackson, Carl Cox, Gareth Donald aka "Computer," Rob Tissera and "Gleave D" Dobbin.
So when most of my mates were listening to Guns & Roses I was hunting down mixtapes from across the water desperate to hear the latest tunes from the underground dance scene. I bought my first set of SL12s aged 16 in 1991... and I've been addicted ever since.
These days family life means I take things easy, preferring to arse about on the dance floors in Ibiza, but every now and again I'll dust down the equipment, hit record, and see where my mood takes me.
