DJ CAVA was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, a hotbed for DJs, producers and music enthusiast throughout the digital era. His passion for music started at the young age of 8 years old, when he would stay up late listening to DJ broadcasts on local radio stations. Throughout his adolescence, CAVA dabbled in mixing by blending tracks on vintage tape decks and experimenting with his father’s vinyl collection. In 2004, CAVA purchased his first DJ setup, which included a now vintage Numark CDN-90 dual cd deck.
He began his career by hosting all-ages events in nightclubs, and later progressed to hosting private loft parties and club events. In 2007, CAVA held his first club residency at Discoteca, and continued pursuing his passion holding multiple residencies across Montreal throughout the years
Although CAVA is passionate about turntablism and scratching in hip-hop, his versatility and passion for various genres has allowed him to play in a variety of different settings. Currently, CAV
