Since 14yrs Old (1999) I'm an aspiring DJ named "Jon the Baptist" with a passion for Trance. My most influential artists at the time; Oakenfold,Digweed,Ferry Corsten, Sasha, Robert Miles & Radiohead to name a few. I soon became fixated to my love of Mixing,Upgrading from Numark Belts to 1200's developing mixes & Remixes I'd conjured up whilst in my experimental stages of self development. At 16 I wanted to push boundaries & enter "Young UK DJ" Contest run by DMC Promotions in 2002. I entered a mix-tape among 35,000 other wannabes. I was selected among 25 other hopefuls to compete in 4 nationwide heats; (1st Stage) I was 1st Place in the Brighton Contest @ "Event 2" in Brighton Seafront. (2nd Stage) 1st Place @ Liquid Nightclub in Crawley, Surrey. (Third Stage) in the regional finals back at "Event 2 in Brighton, I came 3rd place in the regional final but chosen to progress further at that stage. I qualified as a Sound Engineer at College.
