El Russ are Martyn Ellwood and Joe Russell, 2 DJs originally from Kendal, but now based in Manchester. After many years spent on the world's best dancefloors, listening to some of the greatest DJs music had to offer, the guys decided it was time to give it a go themselves and in late 2010 bought a pair of turntables which was to signal the start of El Russ.

In a short space of the time, the guys have had a number of sets at Sankeys, Manchester (supporting the likes of Ferry Corsten, D.Ramirez and Sebastien Drums), Sound Control for DNA Presents (Jason Herd, Steve Mulder) and Joshua Brooks, Saki Bar & Red Rum for the monthly Lolife parties.
