The beating heart of the walrus SS is a 1976 disco box: The Disco Major (DM100)
twinned with some August 2x12 speakers (circa 1978) and sometimes a 1975 Carlsboro 100w all-valve amp. The sound is loud, warm and yes, a little fuzzy.
Live events with bands go under the name Howl at the Moon. Past guests have included Gallon Drunk, Bob Log III, Thomas Truax, Action Beat, Go!Zilla, Shook-ups and Broken DC.
Wax choices are all over the place, but expect lots of Ska and reggae, a little funk, some noisy 60s and 70s stuff, some 80s cheese and 90s electronica.
