Just an American guy born in Berlin raised in Frankfurt and Munich and later lived in Heidelberg. Was lucky enough to hang out at the Dorian Grey, the Omen, and that club that was under the tower in Mannheim. I played jazz/Big Band sax in high school and twice was chosen to attend Jazz symposiums under the direction of prof. Jiggs Whigham at the Koln university of music. I love all forms of live music and since returning to the states I have attended "jazz fest' in New Orleans, "Memphis in may" in Memphis, Tennessee. and been to more "Dead Shows" than you can shake a stick at. I come from a musical family, My father's bluegrass/old time band rehearsed in the basement of our house as I grew up. I eventually wound up studying Music in college where I helped compose numerous sound tracks used in local network news Broadcasts.
