DJ JKD has emerged as one of Toronto’s homegrown talents, spinning his way into the forefront of nightclubs and special events. A combination of passion, drive and with the help of his mentors, DJ JKD has been able to turn his dream into a reality by creating a unique sound that explores beyond the horizons of a field saturated with unoriginal and repetitive sounds.

As a member of the freshly organized Genesys Soundcrew, DJ JKD has worked to perfect his craft and take his dynamic sound to new heights. Although he has an old school flare, he incorporates all genres into his mixes, placing a special emphasis on his Caribbean roots. Among his influences are internationally acclaimed DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Cash Money, Kid Capri, and Funkmaster Flex, alongside some of Toronto’s finest; Starting from Scratch, Jason Chambers, and Skratch Bastid.
