Having made his debut behind the decks in 2014, BrownBear (a.k.a. Jesse Johnston) has quickly developed into a fixture of the Melbourne techno/tech-house scene, with his unique sound combining desert-infected grooves with layered melodic basslines and big funky vibes.
BrownBear's dedication and love for electronic music & energy behind the decks has resulted in residencies at internationally recognized audio institutions Killing Time Bar (KT) & Revolver Upstairs . KT is also home to his collective/boutique label (Hindsight Music) where they run their weekly Friday minimal & tech night “OVER”.
Aside from being regularly featured on line-ups for Melbourne label/party-starters Off The Rekord, as well as Disco Volante at Onesixone, Circus Sunday's and Hausity Records parties at Pawn & Co., BB can often be heard on various shows on KISS FM and TRNSMT.TV.
