Jay LaCalle begins his musical career at the age of 17 back in his home town, Valladolid. By then, Valladolid was the chamber of some of the best techno clubs in Spain and the landmark of thousand of clubbers who would flock there every weekend to enjoy the music. That is how he came across many Dj's, gathering friends from whom he learned the mixing techniques.
Back in his home city, Jay LaCalle would play in countless clandestine parties as well as in some famous clubs (Samarux, El Refugio, 1900, etc.), developing a style influenced by the roughest variations of Techno, and softer House or Minimal.
In 2012 he moved to London, where he began to learn production tools and to implement his own sounds in his sets, embracing the digital way of mixing. During this stage he kept playing at private parties and more recently collaborated with LNJ collective, playing at Scala, in the heart of London.
His sets are well developed, with an impeccable musical choice that will make you dance.
