Jay Ru began his journey as a DJ in 2015, never tied to any genres, Jay Ru gradually gained recognition in the vibrant Manila Underground Club and DJ scene from 2016 to 2019. He had the privilege of being mentored and acknowledged by the esteemed B-Side / Black Market Crew, prominent leaders in the underground music scene during that era. Jay Ru had the honor of sharing the stage with talented artists such as BADBADNOTGOOD, SISTER NANCY , NOSAJ THING, ONRA, JOE KAY, YETI OUT, JAEL, Mr. Carmack, Jarreau Vandal, , ShortKut, Thriple Threat Djs, DJ KRUSH, Stones Throw and Soulection Artists among others.
After several years of consistent performances in Manila's finest clubs and events, Jay Ru made a significant decision to escape the challenges of the city's nightlife scene. Instead, he chose to reside on a remote island in the South of the Philippines.
