Born and raised on the mean streets of Wuppertal, Jannis Reusner, AKA Commander MC Badass, started his musical journey when he was 7, when he was given a musical instrument by his Dad. It was at this moment that Jannis knew he wanted to be part of 'The Scene'.

He first became interested in the electronic music scene in 2001. In 2008, aged 14, his grandparents bought him his first set of decks.

After receiving several offers, Commander MC Badass joined Chillmarecords, who helped distribute his first internet release, '' in 2011. Though the single didn't sell as many as he probably would have liked, Commander MC Badass is a fighter and since 2012 has been locked in the studio perfecting his craft.
