Starting out professionally in NYC, JV discovered the underground dance scene first at SnobBusters with dj Renato Pearson. A downtown loft party on Broadway, Snobs had many members whom were nurtured on House music via the Garage's Larry Levan and his long-standing friendship with Frankie Knuckles.
Over time James would be blessed with opportunities to share his love of music playing for emotive dancers at respected venues such as the Shelter and Cielo in New York, as well as Clubhouse, Red Dog and The Shrine in Chicago.
Whether it was SoundGallerySessions on Cyberjamz Internet Radio or one of his many local residencies in New York and Chicago, JV's reverence and passion for music is often reflected by the audiences that seek out the soulful vibes that emanate from within him.
Back in Chicago, James Vincent continues to serve as a spiritual ambassador of house music and dance music culture, building community through music as co-founder of the EXCURSIONS party.
