Groove Atlas

An hour-long mixtape of songs about people who feel stuck where they are, and who want to get out with someone they care about.

"Girls Names" is one of the easier themes I've tackled because it didn't require any complex rules or definitions. The only restriction was simple: The song title had to be a girl's first name, period -- no other words, anywhere in the song title.

The tortured logic I used to determine what songs got on my "Decade in Review: 2010-2019" mix, which exposes and ranks my Top 12 bands of the decade.

There's really no need for a long-winded introduction or sales pitch... Suffice to say: Here are my favorite albums, EPs, and singles of 2019.

A short lesson on patience, and how you go from a cheap RadioShack mixer to something like pirate radio.
