Rotterdam, Netherlands
Ivan Winter AKA DJ MR.WINTER is a multidisciplinary artist, curator and DJ from Rotterdam, working at the intersection of music, literature and performance. With a background in theatre and film, he approaches DJing as a form of storytelling, creating experiences rooted in atmosphere and human connection.
As a musical curator for Read My World and Woorden Worden Zinnen, he creates selections that complement spoken word, poetry and literature. His appearances include Poetry International Rotterdam and Crossing Border in The Hague.
Drawing on soul, jazz, hip-hop and music from around the world, MR.WINTER moves fluidly between genres and eras, connecting sounds and moods to create memorable experiences. For him, music is never just background; it brings people together, shapes spaces and gives every moment its own story.
