DJ Rosko became widely appreciated for his Latenite Lounging radio show on legendary pirate station House FM in London in the early noughties.
Latenite Lounging was an influential radio show that ran on London’s notorious pirate station House 88.6FM for eight years. Hosted by the enigmatic Rosko, the weekly two hours ran the gamut from surprising to unsettling. With house luminaries such as Todd Terry and Ben Watt regularly being interviewed live on air, the show’s place in posterity was sealed when Derrick Carter slept on a studio sofa through most of an edition, having arrived from NYC on an overnight flight. He awoke, marched over to the decks and laid down a live mix of jaw-dropping intensity.
Never predictable, always challenging, the show steadily grew its audience of deep house aficionados seeking refuge from the scourge of “funky” house.
