Remy Borsboom was born on July 23th in Voorburg, a city nearby the Hague in the Netherlands. His passion for music started when he was a young child. When he was 9 years old, he did an audition for the musical Tarzan, produced by Joop van den Ende. After a few auditions and a tough rehearsal period, he played the character of Little Tarzan at the Circustheater in Scheveningen for nine months. During this time his passion for music started. The music in the musical was written and composed by Phil Collins and has made a deep impression on him. After he played in two other professional musicals, in which the music was also very important, he was even more musically inspired. The name Gretystook was chosen for a reason.
