Palestinian/British Kamar (pronounced Amar, which means moonlight in Arabic) is a DJ, broadcaster, promoter and cultural archivist.
Deeply focused on music from the global underground, and a product of his childhood, Kamar's sets and radio shows connect the dots between SWANA, Latin and British music.
His monthly show on Worldwide FM, Tealeaves, explores sound through migration - contributing to the ever needed narrative that migration is a force for good, and that we owe so much of what makes our world artistically rich to various migrant communities.
Kamar is also the founder of Far Corners, an event series based in London, dedicated to unearthing music from the far corners of the world.
