The Ghettoblast Sound System is an off grid, solar DC powered sound system project initiated in 2002.
The sound system has grown to have a 1000W array of auto amps and speakers, 500Ah battery bank, and 300W+ of solar charging power.
Most of our throw-downs are free, bringing people together for a cultural happening in out of the way public spaces.
