Born on 6th December 1981 in Kabul, Afghanistan. Since his hearing sense was active, he was in love with music. So from a very young age he had interest in music and tried to play and explore different sounds on whatever that produced sound. This interest in music started with listening to classical- Indian and Afghan music.

At the age of 12 he got his first musical gift from his dad, the tabla.

After following some lessons and exploring the instrument himself, he learned the basics of this instrument.

Moving to the Netherlands in 1993, he also came in touch with Western music. Visiting various concerts and attending lots of dance festivals, this love for music expanded. Specially when he connected and became friends with great artists of the Indian classical music.
