Eriko 'Lua Cheia', has been a special fixture in the New York City nightlife / club scene. Lua started her journey working at NY's house music distributor / record store, "Downtown161/304" in 2007, where she collected numerous records and has built connections with many DJs and producers in the industry. As a versatile dancer with more than 15 years of experience and having been solidified as one of the most remarkable dancers of authentic NY style house dance, she gained a unique perspective in her work as a DJ. Lua's extensive musical background in trumpet and piano, combined with her knowledge from working at Downtown161/304, along with her perspective as an experienced house dancer, DJ Lua Cheia brings her appreciation and deep understanding of music to her sets. Quite simply, Lua takes listeners on an adventurous journey that inspires energetic drive with soulful feeling through house music and other various tracks.
She currently has residencies at local hotspots in Brooklyn.
