Tess is your favorite local DJ's favorite local DJ.
Influenced a decade and a half ago by record bin digs and weekend adventures in Detroit Techno City. Tess formed CrowdPleaser, a DJ collective and event production crew in Denver the summer of 2003.
DJ sets by Tess flow downstream, dipping in and out of genres along the way. Intuitive programming and unconventional blends act as bridges to the other side. One of these sides is planted firmly in Detroit/Chicago; the other is stepping to the future. Techno, deep house, acid, IDM, mnml, downtempo, breaks and more all inhabit this realm.
Supporting sets have been played alongside: Margeret Dygas, Woody McBride, Damian Lazerus & Jamie Jones, Glimpse, Smith & Selway, Ryan Elliott, Patrick Russell, Daniel Bell, Butane, Maetrik, Eric Cloutier, Animaltek, Rift and more. If not booked to set-up the headliner; it's often the sunrise set that Tess is sheduled.
