Effenem is an electronic music project started up in 2012 by Michele Sergi and Filippo Carrusci. Both young and grown in Sardinia, Michele attended Piano classes at the local Music Academy, but, since he was a child, manifested a strong interest in deep electronic sounds. Filippo, contrarily, is totally self-taught, and, deeply influenced by Jazz, Blues and early House sounds, totally devoted himself to the music.
Driven by a strong desire for research and experimentation, their sound is constantly evolving.
Their productions are based on complex melodic patterns, smoothly mixed with dark percussive sounds and trippy acidic leads, creating an intense and danceable, but still deep and introspective atmosphere.
