this mix was performed live at Rough Magic, a ritual theatre workshop with Lorca Simons of Live Wire/5 Rhythms. it's one of my favorite events of the year, watching her special fusion of movement and music and poetry and theatre come together outdoors at the historic Hip Pocket Theatre in Fort Worth.
this set is rooted in blues, soul, and a more acoustic flavor (while, of course, mixed with electronic music). Lorca provided several of the tracks herself, and it's always a fun collaboration to weave our styles together.
