Born in Manhattan, raised in Forest Hills, Queens; High School & College in Florida (B.A., Economics, Univ. of Florida; Phi Beta Kappa), then several years in Orange County (M.S. & Ph.D. in Computer Science from UC Irvine). Six months in Silicon Valley (software engineer and AI consultant for Rockwell Space Systems and NASA Ames Research) before settling in Los Angeles (where I began writing about technology, especially computers and the Internet).

Highlights of LA years: CD-ROM writer at Graphix Zone (multimedia developer), author of 4 books on computer/internet topics, Segment Producer & Head Writer on Discovery Channel show "CyberLife", scriptwriter on other nonfiction TV shows. Currently writer/editor for several websites and company clients (recent 3+ year post: writer/editor for Life Alert - the "Help I've Fallen And I Cant Get Up" people).
