A little history of me, born in ’79 at SFGH, childhood in Bellevue St Mary’s Village South Oropouche, attended South Oropouche R.C., teen years in Avocat Village Fyzabad whilst seven years in Benedicts (O’s and A’s), moved back to Oropouche and worked as a Law Clerk for Lynette Maharaj’s firm, Daltons on Irving in S’do for almost two years before leaving with my Mother and Father with green card in hand for Tampa FL. My Mother passed away ten years now, a year after I married a girl from Gasparillo who moved here four years ago, earned my US Citizenship around the same time. I long for home and I’ve travelled back every year since, sometimes twice a year when I could afford it and I’ve been witnessing the Americanization of Trinbago, some change is good some is detrimental, I find myself searching and appreciating Trinidad more since I left.
