DJ Tempo learnt to mix back in 1997 before progressing to a warm-up residency at Movement opening for the likes of Bryan Gee, Marky, Ray Keith, Roni Size and Grooverider both at the legendary weekly at Bar Rumba and other illustrious venues like Fabric and Mass. He then spent two years working for Good Looking Records where he'd hassle the legendary LTJ Bukem for tunes and mixing tips.
In early 2005, Tempo re-located to Cape Town where he spent a hazy few years rolling with the African Dope crew. Since then he has played at Pressure, Science Frikshun, Addictshun, Earthdance, Rocking the Daisies, Twilight Festival, It Came From The Jungle, Step Up, Cold Turkey, and many other nights along the way.
Recent times have also seen Tempo returning to the studio resulting in multiple releases on Soul Deep Recordings and Liquid Brilliants with plenty more to come.
