Originally from the DMV area, Syk B migrated to the Raleigh, North Carolina area to further his education in Computer Technology. However, a different path was taken and landed him into the Hip-Hop music scene. Greatly influenced by legendary DJ's such as Roc Raida, Qbert, and Craze he began self teaching himself through many resources the art of DJ'ing. His talents would soon land him with the local group Mindstate with Rico Swain as the leading artist. Syk B continues to work with Mindstate while constantly fine-tuning his own skills along the way to create his own unique sound to stand out ahead of the rest as "The Syk One".
