Number9 (Pitchslap Music)
Number9 first became exposed to underground dance music in the mid 90’s while attending Eastern Michigan University on a golf scholarship. Frequenting Detroit warehouse parties on the weekends - as well as the now legendary club Motor.
Drawing heavy influences and studying dj's such as Mark Farina, Derrick Carter, DJ Sneak, and DJ Dan helped to shape his own sound and style as a dj.
Number9 quickly gained recognition and respect among his peers in Detroit with his seamless mixing, exceptional track selection and ability to take the listener on a journey through the sounds of house.
Number9 has played virtually every major club in Detroit and the surrounding area and has held down residencies at legendary venues such as the Works (“Departure”), Corktown Tavern (“Hot House”), Foran’s, The Buddha Lounge, and The Necto. In both 2006 and 2008 he played DEMF/Movement, one of the world’s premiere electronic music events.
