DJ Maruyama is Hokkaido, Japan based DJ. Born (Hideki Maruyama) in June of 1981, he cites Jazz, Soul, Funk influenced Hip Hop and R&B as some of his favourite type of sounds. Artists from Nujabes (Hydeout Productions), Muro (King of Diggin) and DJ Mitsu The Beats (Gagle/Jazzy Sport) are just a few of the talented Japanese acts that had made up content on his playlists. He started out hosting and DJ’ing through his Community Radio Station but his wide selection of records has often found him appearing at Wedding parties. The DJ has appeared and performed alongside acts like; Kero One, Cro-magnon, and Nujabes. He specializes in neat blends and exciting scratching techniques, with his equipment of choice including the Technics turntables, Pro tools LE and the MPC 2000XL.
