Lurid bought a pair of turntables in 2001 and completely taught himself the art of DJing. Listening to the likes of Bad Boy Bill, DJ Dan and Richard Humpty Vission, Lurid would attempt to mimic what he heard on their CD's. Starting out young, the aspiring artist known as Lurid quickly became part of the scene involving himself with crews such as TELIC, LoveAllstars, and Bionic Bubbles. Originally, starting out with Hard House, Lurid has since progressed to playing funk and electro, drum&bass, glitch, and dubstep. The San Francisco native’s objective for DJing is to always keep the crowd entertained and never let the tracks get boring. He currently has five mixes out, including his two latest, “Best of Dubstep” and “ Warrior.”
